Who is Matt?

Matt Pang is a versatile performer and juggler currently based in Bristol, UK. Since his first solo stage appearance at a school talent show, in his home town of Exeter Matt has been hooked on live performance, and has since been creating high quality, Circus, Theatre and Street Theatre.
                After leaving school Matt went on to complete a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts at Exeter College, developing himself further as a performer as well as gaining an interest in Dance and Physical Theatre. It was at Exeter College where he produced and compèred his first run of Cabaret shows, and developed his first Street Show.
               Seeking further professional training on leaving College Matt went on to study at Circomedia in Bristol, the leading centre for contemporary circus with physical theatre in Europe, where he specialised in Equilibristics and Manipulation (Juggling) and Physical Theatre.
               On graduating from Circomedia two of Matt’s acts were awarded a place on the “Fresh Faces” scheme, a circus graduates scheme commissioned by the National Theatre in London for their Watch This Space outdoor festival.
The following spring Matt Co-Founded PanGottic a Circus-Theatre company with his partner Revital Gottshalk.

Matt continues to work professionally creating his own acts, teaching, and producing shows with a commitment to providing a high quality and professional product.

What can Matt do?

Matt works in a number of areas and can provide a range of services, skills, and acts. He specialises in Gentleman Juggling a historic form of juggling which is the manipulation, juggling and balancing of ordinary everyday objects such as Hats, Cigars, and Bottles, and is now one of the few to perform this art in the world.

Although Matt specialises in Gentleman Juggling he has a broad range of high quality acts, shows and skills which he is able to perform to a high level:

  • Short Acts – for Cabaret, Variety, Circus and Corporate events.
  • Street Theatre – for Festivals, Fetes, Fares and Community events.
  • Compère/MC – for Cabaret, Variety, Circus, Celebrations and Events.
  • Circus-Theatre Show – for Arts Festivals, Theatres, Touring and Rural Touring.
  • Close-up Magic – for Walkabout, Pre-show Entertainment, Celebrations, Restaurants and Bars.
  • Teaching/Workshops – for Schools, Community Events and Team Building.

Matt can also produce small scale full length variety shows, suitable for festivals, celebrations, private events, community events and corporate clients.
